With them (Someday)
There is a phone to heaven, but it only talks one way
Though you don't hear their voice, think of your loved ones everyday.
Talk to them, laugh with them, and cherish memories that you've made.
All the while making new ones that you can talk about, with them… someday!

We say goodbye to our dear departed, while we’re left here on Earth
To think about them everyday, some we’ve known since birth.
We know we had some good times, and we always kept in touch
And remained friends till the very end, now I miss you oh so much

Life has its way of taking some, way to quick in terms of years
They hadn’t a chance to find just what it was or why they were here
Though there were many memories, so many yet to be made
So why did God call home this servant, I asked the preacher and he did say

There is a phone to heaven, but it only talks one way
Though you don't hear their voice, think of your loved ones everyday.
Talk to them, laugh with them, and cherish memories that you've made.
All the while making new ones that you can talk about, with them… someday!

You know I’ll always think of you, and laugh at the things you used to say
And I’ll miss you so much more and more, each and every single day
I wish you were here with me, so I wouldn’t feel all this pain
Dear Lord though I don’t know why, I buried my best friend here today

Reality
Make it and Crave it, as long as you can save it
It’s gotta be around if you want to take pleasure in it
Sing it and Bring it, don’t you ever disrespect it
It’ll always be in your head no you just can’t ignore it

It is the music to your life, it helps you win the fight
Takes you places far away and brings you back the same day
Sometimes it makes you think, other times it makes you drink
But in the end all it really does is help you deal with… reality!

Say it but mean it, as long as you believe it
You gotta speak the truth if you want someone to see it
Despise it don’t try it, cause you can never ever right it
A lie will spread faster changing facts will never hide it

It is the music to your life, it helps you win the fight
Takes you places far away and brings you back the same day
Sometimes it makes you think, other times it makes you drink
But in the end all it really does is help you deal with… reality!

Reality is what you see, when you strip away the pain
Reality to you and me, will never be the same
We take all that life can give, and just try to do our best
Then you wake and find yourself, suffering like the rest

Comment - as always, yer right Dawnie! Strange how a lyric can turn to take you down another path.
Especially when written from different minds at different times and in different moods!

The smell of death surrounds me, it permeates the very air I breathe
How will I ever truly escape it, what to do, how to be freed
I wanna purge myself of this enemy, escape so far beyond its reach
Before it consumes my inner soul, with an unholy dark embrace
Oh won’t you take me so far away, away from this lonely place
Show me something pure, and ease the pain shown on my face

Ascending above this darkness, Rise me above my travail,
Take me into your illumination, shedding my tattered veil
Make me whole, make me one, show the path I must run
Light the road before me, with the footsteps of your son

Betrayed -    SAK     6/24/2010     12:04am – 12:23am
it could have been so much different
it could have been so much more
it could have lasted a 1000 lifetimes,
but now we've both been... Betrayed

Times were so much easier then, we walked and spoke our minds
Now there’s just too much confusion, no one knows where they stand
You keep running through your life, not knowing what it is you’ll find
Life was simple, while the world was vast, we were content in our land
Needs changed and hearts turned cold, seeking treasures, for a king   (I tell you)

it could have been so much different
it could have been so much more
it could have lasted a 1000 lifetimes,
but now we've both been... Betrayed

Bridge:
The Kingdom of God is inside you, and all around you... not in mansions of wood and stone.
Split a piece of wood and I am there; lift a stone and you will find me... you will, find me

The messenger has beliefs, the messenger has faith… you have only doubt.
I shall give you what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard and no hand has touched,
and what has not come into, the human... heart.

(Leads)

You build your shrines for the glory of God, do you remember just what that means?
While the simple man, he prays to the Lord, for his family and his soul to keep!
Chances are high on judgment day, the Lord may turn and slowly walk away
For what he sees has become of this world, is not why his son’s life was paid.
Needs changed and hearts turned cold, but I found treasures, so crown me king   (I tell you)

it could have been so much different
it could have been so much more
it could have lasted a 1000 lifetimes,
but now we've both been... Betrayed   (I tell you)
it could have been so much different
it could have been so much more
it could have lasted a 1000 lifetimes,
but now we've both been... Betrayed (echo out)

For Immediate Media Release:

Detroit Rock Band GBMI - Guilty but Mentally ill to Release Debut CD - July 2010

Detroit, MI USA – June 14, 2010 - Detroit Rock band GBMI - Guilty but Mentally ill, announce they will be
releasing their forth coming debut CD in July 2010, tentatively titled “Out of the Asylum”.

Currently, GBMI is putting the finishing touches on what is sure to be the next Rock n Roll swindle.
The CD, being completed in the Canton Michigan, Talent Live Studios, is produced by GBMI and Mr. Rick Young.
Known for having a superb ear for music, not unlike the eyes of an Eagle, Rick Young is honing the GBMI sound
on both the original compositions and the remakes of some wicked cover songs.

Reminiscent of early Van Halen albums, the driving force of the GBMI sound; heavy Guitars, bombastic Rhythms,
and flowing Lyrics, will be unleashed with a fury that has not been seen in the Rock music world since Guns and
Roses hit with Appetite for Destruction. Jammed with a mixture of hot originals, such as; Full Moon of Madness,
New Beginnings and It’s Gotta Happen, to slammin’ remakes of Jefferson Airplanes’ White Rabbit, the Dead Boys’ Sonic Reducer and a new look at the Animals House of the Rising Sun, these songs will leave your ears begging for more.

This GBMI smash offering will be available thru traditional sources; Mom & Pop Record Stores, On-Line Digital Download and thru the Bands Merchandise Website. Also, catch it straight off the streets of Detroit at a venue near you.

from the GBMI Fan Asylum on Facebook (June 6th, 2010) -
OK, where to start...
you know when you're part of something, that feels real good. Wait, not just good... GREAT!
If you're a woman, you get a giddy inside, a bit fuzzy, a little bit a ...
For a guy, it's a bit different.... kinda like..... Morning wood! Yea wood!!!   Evil

Well... we just had a session tonight that was better than any of the highest highs, the drunkest drunks, the bestest best... what???
Gooder than good can ever get!  When you have a rhythm section that lays down a foundation, something you can build on...
it makes life so much easier! It gives you a feeling like... I can do this shit! Let's freakin' ROCK Guys!
Tonight was one of those nights. Rick gave us just enough rope... Not to hang ourselves, but to RIP it UP!!!
Tom and Mike kicked out the JAMS MF's! It was rock n roll at its near finest. Plain out B.E.A.U.tiful!!! I didn't sound half bad myself.
We were in the pocket, we rocked it... We were Godz of our own universes!!!  Cool

I hope you are as jacked about it as we are. We are not only putting our time and money into this… but our heart, soul & ballz!
This is really what Rock is all about. 5 people that just love what they do. We ain’t from Jersey… we’re from Downriver...
the heart of what America used to stand for, All that is righteous and pure.
Alright, so I embellished a bit. Well, I can… Cause I’m on top of da world Ma!!!

To prove what it is we’ve been doing in the studio, we hope to be dropping a dedication to Kwame soon.
A little diddy we call – Guilty as Charged! We dedicate that to all those constituents he scammed and bamboozled,
those that he basically let down and cheated. He may have been put on a lofty pedestal and had a long hard fall, but hey… he deserved it.

Take what we do with a grain of salt, we do, but please take it, listen to it, run with it.
It will be a group of songs that will tantalize the senses, maybe not to ecstasy, but pretty darn close.
It did for me… and we ain’t even done yet!

Stay cool, stay safe and enjoy your summer…
we hope to bring the GBMI live show to a venue near you.

Love to you all, from Pudge and the GBMI crew

GBMI is proud to announce that we are heading into the studio to record in less than 2 weeks.
We are locked, cocked, and ready to fire! A chance to get out of the asylum and into the land
called happy-ville. We be laying down over 10 tracks of butt whoopin' Rock n Roll!

Look for us to exit the studio revived and alive... just waiting for a chance to jam with our friends.

Take care & stay cool!!! Pudge
